The Valais 25 is an adapter that allows the use of a seat bag with a dropper post. The Valais mounts to the stanchion (upper post section of a dropper post), providing a secure mounting point while protecting the stanchion from wear and the wiper seal from damage.
We have two Valais diameters available, so you will need to know your stanchion diameter. Valais 25 refers to the height of the strap the Valais allows (25mm or 1" strap height). The dual-lip design securely holds packs with straps up to 25mm wide, and at full compression the deep skirt contacts the seal collar first, protecting delicate seals from damage. While the Valais is optimized for straps up to 25mm wide, it will also work with wider straps. The adapter is injection-molded from an engineering-grade thermoplastic and strong enough to serve as a temporary crutch in the event of a backcountry dropper failure.
Strong, resilient, and non-marring DuPont ™ Delrin® thermoplastic, allowing for easy snap-on installation and full strength all the way down to -20°F/-29°C.
Shifts cargo to the bike: Small- and mid-sized saddle bags are ideal places to securely store tubes, mini tools, and CO2 cartridges, ensuring that they’re always on hand when needed while freeing up the top tube and handlebar bags for more regularly accessed items.
Protects dropper post stanchion: Inexpensive insurance, the Valais protects dropper post stanchions from the wear that occurs at the intersection of saddle bag, seatpost, and wheel-flung grit.
Emergency crutch: While dropper posts continue to improve, locking mechanism failure still occurs- often far from the trailhead. The Valais can be used to keep posts extended, allowing the rider to comfortably pedal out of the backcountry.
Raceday travel limiter: When seven inches is more than the terrain calls for, the Valais can be used to limit dropper travel to suit.
35mm tall
COMPATIBILITY
Valais limits the dropper travel by at least 25mm.
Must have an internal cable routing dropper post
Optimized for straps up to 1" (25mm) wide, though will work with wider straps
There are two Valais sizes available: 25mm diameter stanchions and one for the 26mm stanchions. Measure your upper seatpost stanchion diameter to determine the correct size to use.
At full compression, the Valais' deep skirt contacts the seal collar first and will not contact the seal lip (protecting delicate seals from damage).
Discrete position droppers will likely lose the lowest position, because the Valais reduces the dropper travel by 25mm
Valais 25mm accommodates posts with 24.75-25.25mm stanchion diameter. Some known posts of this size include:
Easton Haven
Giant Contact (internal routing)
RaceFace Turbine
RockShox Reverb Stealth
Specialized Command Post
9Point8 Fall Line
Bikeyoke Revive
Others
Valais 26mm accommodates posts with 26-26.5mm stanchion diameter. Some known posts of this size include:
Wolf Tooth Resolve
Thomson Covert
Fox Transfer
KS eTen
One-Up
Others
INSTALLATION
Remove the screw and slide Valais over seatpost stanchion
Put the Valais at the highest position, install the screw and tighten to 2-3 NM
Install your saddle bag with it as full as it will be on the trail.
Let all the air out of your frame shock, drop the post, and compress the bike suspension all the way.
Assure there is adequate tire to saddle bag clearance. If there is not tire clearance, raise the dropper, and lower the Valais until there is adequate tire to saddle bag clearance.
Re-inflate your shock and be sure that the Valais is torqued to 2-3 Nm

Rural Delivery
If your shipping address is classified as a "rural delivery" (RD) address you are required to select the rural delivery shipping option at checkout. Please note that if your address is rural delivery and the incorrect shipping option is selected, your order will not ship until the additional fee for rural delivery has been received. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the appropriate delivery option is selected to avoid any delays to an order. If you are unsure whether your address is classified as a rural delivery address, please check with your local postal service or contact us for assistance.
SHIPPING BIKES:
We do ship bikes! Every bike that is sold is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is at it's best operational order when it reaches you. If your bike needs to be freighted to you, it will then be boxed with factory-level care and precision to ensure minimal risk and assembly when it arrives.
All bikes that are shipped will be partially disassembled to fit within courier size constraints. We always endeavour to reduce the complexity and amount of re-assembly possible; however, we always recommend you have the bike reassembled or inspected by a qualified bicycle mechanic before riding.
DELIVERY FAQ'S
How long does delivery typically take?
Delivery times are generally 3-5 working days on average; however, please allow an extra 1-2 working days for Rural delivery. Note that this is not a guarantee, but an observational quote based on typical delivery times. We often see faster delivery, and rarely see longer wait times unless:
- You have ordered a bike. Every bike that we sell and ship in a box is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is it's best operational order when it reaches you. Please allow for an additional 2-3 working days while this takes place. In the case of an e-Bike, please allow for a further working day as we organise Dangerous Goods shippment.
- Your order is a custom order (not-in-stock or standard stocked items) that has to be specifically ordered from suppliers - we will do our best to communicate any potential delays.
- If your order requires customisation or additional labour (eg. customising handle bars, changing of parts on a bike, etc.)
- During peak seasons or public holidays, delivery times can be extended due to courier demand and delay.
- Please note that there may be delays in receiving your online order from 24th December until the 11th of January, due to limited courier runs.
What if there is a delay extending beyond the quoted time?
Please be aware that our control is limited once it has been handed to the courier. Once you get a tracking number, the job is booked with the courier and it is in their hands, not ours, so please be aware of the following:
- Couriers have their own specified policy regarding time frames, delays, damage and logging inquiries for lost goods.
- If goods are damaged in transit, the issue needs to be logged directly with the courier company.
Based on this, we always recommend calling the courier company first as sometimes it can be as simple as a lost courier card and the package being at your local depot. All these details will be in the tracking information emailed to you when your order was dispatched. By directly contacting the people handling your order, it reduces the chain of communication so all your questions can find answers in a faster and more accurate fashion.
If you are still having trouble or have any additional questions, feel free to contact us and we will do what we can to help.
Can you ship to my PO Box?
