Today’s rides demand a new breed of wheel, one as fast on paved above category climbs as it is on 200 miles of gravel. Designed from the ground up to optimize lower pressure tubeless tires and disc brakes, the Grail CB7 combines the best characteristics of an ultralight road wheelset with new levels of stability, control, comfort, and durability.
Each and every WBWO wheelset is individually crafted with precision in our purpose-built workshop right here in Rotorua, New Zealand, by specialist mechanics who have worked at the highest professional levels of the sport. Our wheels have proven themselves on home soil and internationally under the most demanding elite riders. We know that after your first spin on yours, you won't want to ride anything else.
STAN'S NOTUBES - GRAIL CB7 RIM
Today’s road and gravel tires have evolved. Yesterday’s slow-rolling 23mm tires and energy-robbing extreme air pressures have been replaced with wider, faster, and more comfortable tire designs. The Grail CB7 is the first rim built specifically around this new breed of tire. The BST tubeless rim design of the Grail CB7 has a maximum tire pressure of 85psi (5.9 bar), offering incredible performance for 28-40mm road and gravel tires. Above all else, the new Grail CB7 proves that smoother is faster by combining lateral stiffness with the softest riding feel of any wheelset. That special ride is about more than just comfort. Decreased resistance from road impacts and less shoulder and arm fatigue means more power to the pedals and a faster rolling wheelset.
The Grail CB7 is one of the lightest road wheelsets ever made, thanks in large part to its purpose-built 300g carbon rim. Designed to take full advantage of disc brakes and tubeless tires, the incredibly short sidewalls of the Grail CB7 put material only where it’s necessary, lowering weight and enhancing ride quality. The result is outstanding acceleration and a serious advantage on climbs.
The Grail CB7’s WideRight 21.6mm internal width and impact-absorbing RiACT design make sure all that speed is matched by stability and control. Wider rolls faster, and the shape of the Grail CB7 rim is designed to work with the shape of your tires, creating a wider and more stable base that improves both speed and stability in the corners. Stan’s radial impact-absorbing carbon technology (RiACT) combines a more compliant low-profile rim shape with a special carbon lay-up process to create a rim that better absorbs vibrations and distributes impacts. The Grail’s incredibly short sidewalls and RiACT technology allow for low tire pressures without the fear of pinch flatting a tire or damaging a rim, offering decreased rolling resistance and peace of mind in all conditions, everywhere you ride. The added width and RiACT technology of the Grail CB7 mean stability and control for intuitive handling both on the road and off.
One of the biggest advantages of a tubeless wheel is the ability to seal flats almost instantly while you ride. With five patents on tubeless rim design (and counting), Stan’s NoTubes is the leader in tubeless innovation, and nothing beats the durability, convenience, and performance of our Bead Socket Technology. The Grail CB7 provides the amazing traction and control only a Stan’s tubeless system can offer, along with the ability to seal flats while you ride. Tubeless is the future of performance for road and gravel wheels. With the Grail CB7 wheelset, that future is here.

Rural Delivery
If your shipping address is classified as a "rural delivery" (RD) address you are required to select the rural delivery shipping option at checkout. Please note that if your address is rural delivery and the incorrect shipping option is selected, your order will not ship until the additional fee for rural delivery has been received. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the appropriate delivery option is selected to avoid any delays to an order. If you are unsure whether your address is classified as a rural delivery address, please check with your local postal service or contact us for assistance.
SHIPPING BIKES:
We do ship bikes! Every bike that is sold is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is at it's best operational order when it reaches you. If your bike needs to be freighted to you, it will then be boxed with factory-level care and precision to ensure minimal risk and assembly when it arrives.
All bikes that are shipped will be partially disassembled to fit within courier size constraints. We always endeavour to reduce the complexity and amount of re-assembly possible; however, we always recommend you have the bike reassembled or inspected by a qualified bicycle mechanic before riding.
DELIVERY FAQ'S
How long does delivery typically take?
Delivery times are generally 3-5 working days on average; however, please allow an extra 1-2 working days for Rural delivery. Note that this is not a guarantee, but an observational quote based on typical delivery times. We often see faster delivery, and rarely see longer wait times unless:
- You have ordered a bike. Every bike that we sell and ship in a box is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is it's best operational order when it reaches you. Please allow for an additional 2-3 working days while this takes place. In the case of an e-Bike, please allow for a further working day as we organise Dangerous Goods shippment.
- Your order is a custom order (not-in-stock or standard stocked items) that has to be specifically ordered from suppliers - we will do our best to communicate any potential delays.
- If your order requires customisation or additional labour (eg. customising handle bars, changing of parts on a bike, etc.)
- During peak seasons or public holidays, delivery times can be extended due to courier demand and delay.
- Please note that there may be delays in receiving your online order from 24th December until the 11th of January, due to limited courier runs.
What if there is a delay extending beyond the quoted time?
Please be aware that our control is limited once it has been handed to the courier. Once you get a tracking number, the job is booked with the courier and it is in their hands, not ours, so please be aware of the following:
- Couriers have their own specified policy regarding time frames, delays, damage and logging inquiries for lost goods.
- If goods are damaged in transit, the issue needs to be logged directly with the courier company.
Based on this, we always recommend calling the courier company first as sometimes it can be as simple as a lost courier card and the package being at your local depot. All these details will be in the tracking information emailed to you when your order was dispatched. By directly contacting the people handling your order, it reduces the chain of communication so all your questions can find answers in a faster and more accurate fashion.
If you are still having trouble or have any additional questions, feel free to contact us and we will do what we can to help.
Can you ship to my PO Box?
