REIMAGINED, REDESIGNED, RECYCLED... AND REYT GOOD
ECO-SAVVY
Each Face Fender is proudly made in the UK using 100% recycled plastic and comes with re-useable VELCRO® Brand fasteners, to attach it to your pride and joy.
COMPATIBILITY
Longer and wider than its predecessor, the Face Fender is compatible with most mtb fork designs, including boost forks, and with tyres up to 3" wide.
SHIZZLE SHIELD
Integrated into the Face Fender is the Shizzle Shield, which, when folded toward the tyre, stops pretty much anything from being flung forward and hitting you in the mush.
BINGO WING TECHNOLOGY
Bingo Wing technology helps to protect your fork seals and stanchions against flying dirt and debris, increasing service intervals and prolonging its life.
MAKEOVER
The Face Fender also gets a makeover. Adding a bit of gloss and a few more contours, the revamped Face Fender looks all grown up and will complement any steed.
NO MORE ZIP-TIES
No more zip-ties! The fender is profiled to hold the Velcro fastener without needing zip-ties or anything else.
The History
The Face Fender is the original ‘flexi-fender’ for Mountain Bikes, and the foundation on which we have built the Mucky Nutz empire!
Introduced as the ‘Bender Fender’, waaay back in 2009 (yikes, we feel old!) our simple yet very effective mud guard was the first of its kind, taking the cycling community by storm.
Today, 13 years after the original product was released, and with well over 1 million units sold world-wide, the Face Fender is more popular than ever. It has established itself as a household name, used and endorsed by Pro riders on the Downhill and Enduro circuits, and by weekend warriors alike!
The Design
The Face Fender design has been developed and refined several times over the years, to improve functionality and keep up with ever-changing suspension fork designs, and rider needs. We are very proud to bring you the latest and greatest Face Fender in this evolution.
This edition brings a plethora of new features, offering you the highest functionality per gram, all within the most compact package possible. We are sticking with our tried and trusted (100% recycled) 1000 micron thickness material, which we have found to be the best balance between weight, flexibility, and durability.
We are proud to be using 100% recycled plastic across the range, with re-useable VELCRO® Brand fasteners.

- The new fold down front lip catches spray and splatter, keeping your face and eyes clear.

Dimensions
- Length: 241mm
- Width: 272mm
- Mass: 30g
Installation
- Break off the hanger tab, and remove the Velcro roll.
- Take the Velcro roll, and wrap it around a fork lower so it overlaps itself by an inch or so.
- Cut off that length, and repeat the process, so that you have two equal lengths.
- Do the same for the fork bridge. You will end up with two long lengths of Velcro for the lowers, and two short lengths for the bridge.
- Take the fender, and thread the long lengths of Velcro through the 'arm' holes (fluffy side towards the fork), and the short lengths through the two bridge holes.
- Position the fender to the underside of the fork bridge, and secure the top two Velcro straps around the bridge, pulling the fender up as high as possible.
- Now tighten the two fasteners around the fork lowers.
- Fold down the front lip, so that it clears the tyre by roughly 5 - 10mm.
- Square the fender up, and check tyre clearance.
- Go for a spin, and find some mud!
Sustainability
It's no secret that plastic is used in most of our products, and this is simply because it's the best material for the job. We manufacture everything using 100% recycled waste plastic.
As a responsible manufacturer we are committed to sustainability; to produce and sell our products with minimal consumption, minimal packaging, and minimal waste.
Each product is designed to serve its purpose over many years and is by no means a ‘single-use plastic’. When a Mucky Nutz product does eventually reach the end of its functional life, it can be fully recycled once more.

Rural Delivery
If your shipping address is classified as a "rural delivery" (RD) address you are required to select the rural delivery shipping option at checkout. Please note that if your address is rural delivery and the incorrect shipping option is selected, your order will not ship until the additional fee for rural delivery has been received. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the appropriate delivery option is selected to avoid any delays to an order. If you are unsure whether your address is classified as a rural delivery address, please check with your local postal service or contact us for assistance.
SHIPPING BIKES:
We do ship bikes! Every bike that is sold is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is at it's best operational order when it reaches you. If your bike needs to be freighted to you, it will then be boxed with factory-level care and precision to ensure minimal risk and assembly when it arrives.
All bikes that are shipped will be partially disassembled to fit within courier size constraints. We always endeavour to reduce the complexity and amount of re-assembly possible; however, we always recommend you have the bike reassembled or inspected by a qualified bicycle mechanic before riding.
DELIVERY FAQ'S
How long does delivery typically take?
Delivery times are generally 3-5 working days on average; however, please allow an extra 1-2 working days for Rural delivery. Note that this is not a guarantee, but an observational quote based on typical delivery times. We often see faster delivery, and rarely see longer wait times unless:
- You have ordered a bike. Every bike that we sell and ship in a box is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is it's best operational order when it reaches you. Please allow for an additional 2-3 working days while this takes place. In the case of an e-Bike, please allow for a further working day as we organise Dangerous Goods shippment.
- Your order is a custom order (not-in-stock or standard stocked items) that has to be specifically ordered from suppliers - we will do our best to communicate any potential delays.
- If your order requires customisation or additional labour (eg. customising handle bars, changing of parts on a bike, etc.)
- During peak seasons or public holidays, delivery times can be extended due to courier demand and delay.
- Please note that there may be delays in receiving your online order from 24th December until the 11th of January, due to limited courier runs.
What if there is a delay extending beyond the quoted time?
Please be aware that our control is limited once it has been handed to the courier. Once you get a tracking number, the job is booked with the courier and it is in their hands, not ours, so please be aware of the following:
- Couriers have their own specified policy regarding time frames, delays, damage and logging inquiries for lost goods.
- If goods are damaged in transit, the issue needs to be logged directly with the courier company.
Based on this, we always recommend calling the courier company first as sometimes it can be as simple as a lost courier card and the package being at your local depot. All these details will be in the tracking information emailed to you when your order was dispatched. By directly contacting the people handling your order, it reduces the chain of communication so all your questions can find answers in a faster and more accurate fashion.
If you are still having trouble or have any additional questions, feel free to contact us and we will do what we can to help.
Can you ship to my PO Box?
Unfortunately we are unable to deliver to PO Boxes. Please provide us with a physical address.
