  • By Women – for women
  • Very good seating comfort
  • Painless biking

Lightweight, supportive and comfortably padded. The SR Pro Women is designed to alleviate common pressure points in women with OrthoCell® inlays to guarantee the best pressure distribution and maximum force production. It’s lightweight with a carbon composite shell, and is the perfect balance of comfort and performance for racing and riding.

Completely new

The Ergon developers have taken a completely new approach to the topic of women’s road racing saddles. After intensive research with X-ray and CT analysis, they have created a new generation of saddles in conjunction with a deep R&D with world class racers of the Canyon/SRAM racing team. Countless prototypes have been tested by both professionals and recreational riders. This feedback, in combination with scientific data developed a new generation of performance and comfort for women.

The flexible pelvis

Women are significantly more mobile in the pelvis than men. In the typical racing bike riding position, the pelvis often tilts forward more. This often causes considerable pressure in the genital area. The SR Women distributes the sitting pressure in a more rocked forward position with a wide, V-shaped design to match the female pelvis shape and mobility.

The deep pubic symphysis

For anatomical reasons, the pubic symphysis (anterior cartilage connection between the two halves of the pelvis) is about a quarter lower in women than in men. In addition, the angle of the pubic bones to each other is larger. This was taken into account in the SR Women in order to prevent complaints in the sensitive areas.

The sensitive genital area

Due to the characteristics of women’s pelvis, women have suffered discomfort for years on standard saddles. The SR Women alleviates sensitive soft tissue pressure with the tapered relief channel preventing numbness and pain. Alleviating this pressure better distributes the rider’s body weight more towards the sit bones while allowing a more comfortable pressure-free forward rocked position.

The Right Size

The shape and size of the saddle must match the sit bone width of the rider to maximize comfort and enjoyment.

The pelvic bone has a unique V-shaped and the saddle must offer the sit bones a large contact surface with the ability to meet the demand of different sitting positions. Various saddle widths are offered so that the usable seat surface corresponds to the riders unique sit bone distance.

The more forward and aggressive the rider sits, the further forward the sit bones contact the saddle.

CUSTOMIZED RELIEF – Pressure relief

Based on intensive research and feedback from our test riders, we created a specific tapered cut out that supports and alleviates unnecessary pressures on sensitive female anatomy. This channel is precisely where women need relief.

ORTHOCELL®-PADS – Even better than gel

The new OrthoCell® material helps you to achieve your best performance without any complaints. These inlays, which are more durable and lighter than gel, ensure the best pressure distribution and provide the highest rebound force. This means they follow the movements of the pelvis with every turn of the crank, but return to their starting position very quickly.

ORTHOPEDIC FOAM – Comfortable and durable

The orthopedic foam is especially ergonomic for road cycling, but still extremely durable. With the addition of OrthoCell® inlays, the pressure of the bony structures is distributeds much better by increasing the rebound force and dissipating vibrations.

THE RAMP – More support – more power

The ramp at the rear of the SR Women provides effective support for your buttocks, especially when you go to accelerate in the drops. The ramp keeps you supported so that more power goes into the pedals and less energy is wasted supporting yourself in a power producing position.

ANTI-FRICTION SIDE FLANKS – Less friction more movement

For an additional benefit of comfort, we have added anti-friction side flanks to the SR Women. This feature reduces the friction of your thighs on the saddle while pedaling resulting in less friction and more freedom of movement.

The best women’s racing saddle

Ergonomics is our philosophy, our claim and our motivation. Therefore the Canyon//SRAM-Racing-Team approached Ergon with a clear mission; the new saddle had to be the best women’s racing bike saddle. The Ergon development team gladly accepted this challenge – and delivered.

It all started on Mallorca

In the training camp on Mallorca, our ergonomics specialist Janina Haas collected all important data of the Canyon//SRAM professional women. This resulted in the first shapes and CAD designs. These were tested by the riders and continuously improved ergonomically. Thus the first prototypes were created.

Rural Delivery

If your shipping address is classified as a "rural delivery" (RD) address you are required to select the rural delivery shipping option at checkout. Please note that if your address is rural delivery and the incorrect shipping option is selected, your order will not ship until the additional fee for rural delivery has been received. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the appropriate delivery option is selected to avoid any delays to an order. If you are unsure whether your address is classified as a rural delivery address, please check with your local postal service or contact us for assistance.

SHIPPING BIKES:

We do ship bikes! Every bike that is sold is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is at it's best operational order when it reaches you. If your bike needs to be freighted to you, it will then be boxed with factory-level care and precision to ensure minimal risk and assembly when it arrives.

All bikes that are shipped will be partially disassembled to fit within courier size constraints. We always endeavour to reduce the complexity and amount of re-assembly possible; however, we always recommend you have the bike reassembled or inspected by a qualified bicycle mechanic before riding.

DELIVERY FAQ'S

How long does delivery typically take?
Delivery times are generally 3-5 working days on average; however, please allow an extra 1-2 working days for Rural delivery. Note that this is not a guarantee, but an observational quote based on typical delivery times. We often see faster delivery, and rarely see longer wait times unless:

  • You have ordered a bike. Every bike that we sell and ship in a box is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is it's best operational order when it reaches you. Please allow for an additional 2-3 working days while this takes place. In the case of an e-Bike, please allow for a further working day as we organise Dangerous Goods shippment.
  • Your order is a custom order (not-in-stock or standard stocked items) that has to be specifically ordered from suppliers - we will do our best to communicate any potential delays.
  • If your order requires customisation or additional labour (eg. customising handle bars, changing of parts on a bike, etc.)
  • During peak seasons or public holidays, delivery times can be extended due to courier demand and delay.
  • Please note that there may be delays in receiving your online order from 24th December until the 11th of January, due to limited courier runs.

What if there is a delay extending beyond the quoted time?

Please be aware that our control is limited once it has been handed to the courier. Once you get a tracking number, the job is booked with the courier and it is in their hands, not ours, so please be aware of the following:

  • Couriers have their own specified policy regarding time frames, delays, damage and logging inquiries for lost goods.
  • If goods are damaged in transit, the issue needs to be logged directly with the courier company.

Based on this, we always recommend calling the courier company first as sometimes it can be as simple as a lost courier card and the package being at your local depot. All these details will be in the tracking information emailed to you when your order was dispatched.  By directly contacting the people handling your order, it reduces the chain of communication so all your questions can find answers in a faster and more accurate fashion.

If you are still having trouble or have any additional questions, feel free to contact us and we will do what we can to help.
