Sterzo Smart, the Elite electronic steering plate, is one of the most interesting innovations for your indoor bike training sessions as you can measure the rotation angle of your handlebars as you move it to the left and right. You will take part in indoor rides on your bike as if you really were on the road.
Compared to its mechanical counterpart, Sterzo Smart connects to Zwift wirelessly to share front wheel movement data.
Exclusively on Zwift
In partnership with Zwift, Elite released Sterzo Smart exclusively for the users of the Zwift community.
To use Sterzo Smart, you just need to place your bike on the steering plate and connect the unit to Zwift!
By pairing with the software via Bluetooth, Sterzo Smart will connect to Zwift for you to control your avatar on-screen, overtake other cyclists and position yourself to harness the draft.
Sterzo Smart connects wirelessly to Zwift to measure the rotation angle of your handlebars as you move it to the left and right.
Look for the “Steering Enabled” icon at the bottom-right while you are in-game on Zwift to see which courses are available for steering.
By connecting Sterzo Smart to Zwift you will enjoy realistic indoor pedalling sessions with the steering feature to steer your avatar around the course, overtake other cyclists and use their draft to your advantage.

Riding indoors with Sterzo Smart
Place the front wheel of your bike on Sterzo Smart.
Make sure you place your Elite steering plate beneath your front tire, with the smaller pointed side facing forward.
LED lights should be visible in the front left on the base.
By connecting Sterzo Smart to Zwift you will enjoy realistic indoor pedalling sessions with the steering feature to steer your avatar around the course, overtake other cyclists and use their draft to your advantage.
How it is made
Sterzo Smart, with its registered design, includes a raised support with a rotating pivot for you to easily place the front wheel of your bicycle and have it return easily to its original position.
Sterzo Smart accommodates tires as wide as 56 mm.
The rotating unit was designed to impart the greatest bicycle stability while you’re riding on your home trainer, as well as ensuring maximum freedom of wheel movement to the left and right, up to 34° rotation on each side.
Sterzo Smart also features practical anti-slip rubber feet on its base for you to you have even more stability in you rides as well as protecting contact surfaces from any potential scratches and abrasions.

The Elite steering plate creates hyper-realistic and fun indoor cycling sessions by sending out wirelessly front wheel movement information to any apps and software that feature steering options via the double ANT and Bluetooth communication protocol.
While the Sterzo Smart has ANT capabilities, that is not supported by Zwift at this time.

Rural Delivery
If your shipping address is classified as a "rural delivery" (RD) address you are required to select the rural delivery shipping option at checkout. Please note that if your address is rural delivery and the incorrect shipping option is selected, your order will not ship until the additional fee for rural delivery has been received. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the appropriate delivery option is selected to avoid any delays to an order. If you are unsure whether your address is classified as a rural delivery address, please check with your local postal service or contact us for assistance.
SHIPPING BIKES:
We do ship bikes! Every bike that is sold is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is at it's best operational order when it reaches you. If your bike needs to be freighted to you, it will then be boxed with factory-level care and precision to ensure minimal risk and assembly when it arrives.
All bikes that are shipped will be partially disassembled to fit within courier size constraints. We always endeavour to reduce the complexity and amount of re-assembly possible; however, we always recommend you have the bike reassembled or inspected by a qualified bicycle mechanic before riding.
DELIVERY FAQ'S
How long does delivery typically take?
Delivery times are generally 3-5 working days on average; however, please allow an extra 1-2 working days for Rural delivery. Note that this is not a guarantee, but an observational quote based on typical delivery times. We often see faster delivery, and rarely see longer wait times unless:
- You have ordered a bike. Every bike that we sell and ship in a box is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is it's best operational order when it reaches you. Please allow for an additional 2-3 working days while this takes place. In the case of an e-Bike, please allow for a further working day as we organise Dangerous Goods shippment.
- Your order is a custom order (not-in-stock or standard stocked items) that has to be specifically ordered from suppliers - we will do our best to communicate any potential delays.
- If your order requires customisation or additional labour (eg. customising handle bars, changing of parts on a bike, etc.)
- During peak seasons or public holidays, delivery times can be extended due to courier demand and delay.
- Please note that there may be delays in receiving your online order from 24th December until the 11th of January, due to limited courier runs.
What if there is a delay extending beyond the quoted time?
Please be aware that our control is limited once it has been handed to the courier. Once you get a tracking number, the job is booked with the courier and it is in their hands, not ours, so please be aware of the following:
- Couriers have their own specified policy regarding time frames, delays, damage and logging inquiries for lost goods.
- If goods are damaged in transit, the issue needs to be logged directly with the courier company.
Based on this, we always recommend calling the courier company first as sometimes it can be as simple as a lost courier card and the package being at your local depot. All these details will be in the tracking information emailed to you when your order was dispatched. By directly contacting the people handling your order, it reduces the chain of communication so all your questions can find answers in a faster and more accurate fashion.
