The deftrap delivers best-in-class ride quality, increased foot support, added stability, leading traction and the ability to skim over rocks. Available in a massive range of colours to complete any bike.

Over the past decade, Deity has developed a reputation for designing industry-leading MTB pedals that have created a cult-like following and have become the go-to choice for flat pedal fanatics. With the addition of the Deftrap pedal, we sought to defy the formula of quality X value by revolutionizing the expectations for nylon composite pedals.

Built around a true concave profile that your feet sink into with our signature non-offset symmetrical platform for increased stability behind the spindle, 10 total pins (8 replaceable cr-mo pins and 2 molded pins per side), our tried and true sealed bearings and DU bushing system and top tier nylon and glass fiber composite material, the Deftrap is a pedal that feels unlike anything on the market. With a focus on ride quality, increased foot support, added stability, leading traction and the ability to skim over rocks, the Deftrap will challenge you to rebel against the conventional perception that a value pedal cannot rival the best pedals on the market. Welcome to the Deftrap experience.

  • All-new pedal design inspired by the world-renowned TMAC pedal

  • Non-offset symmetrical design gives the rider perfect weight distribution across the pedal, creating a very stable platform through rough terrain.

  • 113mm x 103mm size provides a long, supportive platform. 18mm thick at the center

  • 1.5mm of concave shape in the pedal body (per side)

  • Injection Molded Nylon Fiber Composite Body

  • Best-in-class 10 pins per side (8 replaceable steel pins, and 2 fixed nylon pins)

  • Premium nylon composite material is 20% stronger than nylon composite used by most leading brands.

  • Nylon Glass Fiber blend does not get hung up on rocks.

  • 2 sealed bearings with oversized DU bushing design is robust and reliable (same internals as Compound and Black Kat pedals)

  • Open channeling for optimized mud and snow shedding capabilities

  • Not the average plastic disposable pedal...the DEFTRAP Pedals are fully sealed, rebuildable, thin, and offer the same or better grip in comparison to a traditional aluminum pedal

  • Brilliant design for all genres of riding, from trail, enduro, downhill, dirt jumping, to commuting through the urban jungle.

  • 391 grams per pair.

"The Deftrap pedals are impressively grippy. Their large platform provides plenty of stability, even on very rough terrain"

Rural Delivery

If your shipping address is classified as a "rural delivery" (RD) address you are required to select the rural delivery shipping option at checkout. Please note that if your address is rural delivery and the incorrect shipping option is selected, your order will not ship until the additional fee for rural delivery has been received. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the appropriate delivery option is selected to avoid any delays to an order. If you are unsure whether your address is classified as a rural delivery address, please check with your local postal service or contact us for assistance.

SHIPPING BIKES:

We do ship bikes! Every bike that is sold is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is at it's best operational order when it reaches you. If your bike needs to be freighted to you, it will then be boxed with factory-level care and precision to ensure minimal risk and assembly when it arrives.

All bikes that are shipped will be partially disassembled to fit within courier size constraints. We always endeavour to reduce the complexity and amount of re-assembly possible; however, we always recommend you have the bike reassembled or inspected by a qualified bicycle mechanic before riding.

DELIVERY FAQ'S

How long does delivery typically take?
Delivery times are generally 3-5 working days on average; however, please allow an extra 1-2 working days for Rural delivery. Note that this is not a guarantee, but an observational quote based on typical delivery times. We often see faster delivery, and rarely see longer wait times unless:

  • You have ordered a bike. Every bike that we sell and ship in a box is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is it's best operational order when it reaches you. Please allow for an additional 2-3 working days while this takes place. In the case of an e-Bike, please allow for a further working day as we organise Dangerous Goods shippment.
  • Your order is a custom order (not-in-stock or standard stocked items) that has to be specifically ordered from suppliers - we will do our best to communicate any potential delays.
  • If your order requires customisation or additional labour (eg. customising handle bars, changing of parts on a bike, etc.)
  • During peak seasons or public holidays, delivery times can be extended due to courier demand and delay.
  • Please note that there may be delays in receiving your online order from 24th December until the 11th of January, due to limited courier runs.

What if there is a delay extending beyond the quoted time?

Please be aware that our control is limited once it has been handed to the courier. Once you get a tracking number, the job is booked with the courier and it is in their hands, not ours, so please be aware of the following:

  • Couriers have their own specified policy regarding time frames, delays, damage and logging inquiries for lost goods.
  • If goods are damaged in transit, the issue needs to be logged directly with the courier company.

Based on this, we always recommend calling the courier company first as sometimes it can be as simple as a lost courier card and the package being at your local depot. All these details will be in the tracking information emailed to you when your order was dispatched.  By directly contacting the people handling your order, it reduces the chain of communication so all your questions can find answers in a faster and more accurate fashion.

If you are still having trouble or have any additional questions, feel free to contact us and we will do what we can to help.
