D2T Double torque technology

Corima’s D2T system on the rear wheel overcomes the biggest obstacle for FULL carbon disc brake hubs - torque in both directions from pedaling and braking. We succeeded in producing a full carbon disc brake rear hub that is strong enough to withstand these forces.

Front wheels only need to be strong enough to deal with this torque when braking. Rear wheels need to be able to handle these forces during acceleration AND braking. Our unique Y-shaped carbon configuration where 2 spokes are joined ensures the distribution of forces during acceleration AND braking.

The Y-shaped joint allows us to produce a FULL carbon wheel that is unrivalled in performance, weight, strength and stiffness with a unique and race-ready appearance.

Carbon aero spokes

The new shape of the MCC DX wheels has been designed to reduce air drag. This new design results in a 9% (front wheel)* and 18% (rear wheel)* aerodynamic improvement.

MCC wheels are assembled using only 12 spokes (FR and RR). This pairing of the spokes leads to a considerable reduction in resistance and influence from cross winds. Giving the rider more control. The placement of the 6 anchor points of the spokes inside the rim, uniformly distributes the extra weight of these anchors. This setting creates a very low level of rotational inertia, perfect for high-speed climbing and for rapid accelerations during races.

Torsion box technology

CORIMA ’s secret behind its incredible stiffness : weight ratio is hidden in the rim structure.

All CORIMA wheels are filled with a structural foam and a horizontal UD carbon fiber bar to increase overall rigidity and strength. The Torsion Box concept created and patented by CORIMA in the 90’s, significantly reduces the flex found in ALL hollow carbon rims. This stiffness allows for enhanced power transfer in the most direct way possible to the ground, to push the bike forward. Because of this internal structure, the wheel is able to keep its trueness better under load. This core also helps to absorb both vibrations and sound for a quiet and more comfortable ride.

Rural Delivery

If your shipping address is classified as a "rural delivery" (RD) address you are required to select the rural delivery shipping option at checkout. Please note that if your address is rural delivery and the incorrect shipping option is selected, your order will not ship until the additional fee for rural delivery has been received. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the appropriate delivery option is selected to avoid any delays to an order. If you are unsure whether your address is classified as a rural delivery address, please check with your local postal service or contact us for assistance.

SHIPPING BIKES:

We do ship bikes! Every bike that is sold is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is at it's best operational order when it reaches you. If your bike needs to be freighted to you, it will then be boxed with factory-level care and precision to ensure minimal risk and assembly when it arrives.

All bikes that are shipped will be partially disassembled to fit within courier size constraints. We always endeavour to reduce the complexity and amount of re-assembly possible; however, we always recommend you have the bike reassembled or inspected by a qualified bicycle mechanic before riding.

DELIVERY FAQ'S

How long does delivery typically take?
Delivery times are generally 3-5 working days on average; however, please allow an extra 1-2 working days for Rural delivery. Note that this is not a guarantee, but an observational quote based on typical delivery times. We often see faster delivery, and rarely see longer wait times unless:

  • You have ordered a bike. Every bike that we sell and ship in a box is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is it's best operational order when it reaches you. Please allow for an additional 2-3 working days while this takes place. In the case of an e-Bike, please allow for a further working day as we organise Dangerous Goods shippment.
  • Your order is a custom order (not-in-stock or standard stocked items) that has to be specifically ordered from suppliers - we will do our best to communicate any potential delays.
  • If your order requires customisation or additional labour (eg. customising handle bars, changing of parts on a bike, etc.)
  • During peak seasons or public holidays, delivery times can be extended due to courier demand and delay.
  • Please note that there may be delays in receiving your online order from 24th December until the 11th of January, due to limited courier runs.

What if there is a delay extending beyond the quoted time?

Please be aware that our control is limited once it has been handed to the courier. Once you get a tracking number, the job is booked with the courier and it is in their hands, not ours, so please be aware of the following:

  • Couriers have their own specified policy regarding time frames, delays, damage and logging inquiries for lost goods.
  • If goods are damaged in transit, the issue needs to be logged directly with the courier company.

Based on this, we always recommend calling the courier company first as sometimes it can be as simple as a lost courier card and the package being at your local depot. All these details will be in the tracking information emailed to you when your order was dispatched.  By directly contacting the people handling your order, it reduces the chain of communication so all your questions can find answers in a faster and more accurate fashion.

If you are still having trouble or have any additional questions, feel free to contact us and we will do what we can to help.
