This ultrafast chain has been optimised for all 12-speed drivetrains and is compatible with all 12 speed group sets, including SRAM Red and Force AXS.


CeramicSpeed UFO Racing Chains can save you between 2–5 watts on a distance of 600 km/370 miles. Apply CeramicSpeed UFO Drip after 600km to maintain your peak chain optimization over the life of the chain.


CeramicSpeed uses chains from high-end brands to which an optimisation treatment is applied. The CeramicSpeed UFO Chains go through a multi-step process, which involves polishing, cleaning, and application of two layers of treatment to achieve the most efficient chain possible. The UltraFast Optimization process is not highly technical, but it is very time consuming.


The wax blend used in the optimisation of the ultra-fast chains was discovered through intensive testing in order to find the fastest base. Thereafter, the base was tweaked to achieve the lowest friction levels on the test equipment. After additional testing and multiple ratios of additives-to-base, the most efficient formula of optimisation was identified. CeramicSpeed started from the initial formula of the UltraFast Optimization process and incorporated a couple of advancements on top of the traditional treatment for improved results.


The CeramicSpeed UFO Chain is a racing chain, developed with the purpose of delivering unrivalled performance and will perform optimal for about 600 km/370 miles or potentially more under clean and dry conditions. After this, the watts saved start to decrease; nevertheless, your used chain will still feature traces of optimisation and perform better than a regular chain. The maintenance and oiling of the used chain with a wax based lube with Teflon®, will prolong the life of your chain, saving less watts than optimised, still being above the level of a new standard chain. CeramicSpeed recommends the use of UFO Drip Chain Coating for the maintenance interventions.


The optimisation of a CeramicSpeed UFO chain is a multi-step process starting with a polishing method of the link's sliding surfaces that removes friction-producing surface roughness and manufacturing imperfections. The chain is followed by a cleaning routine to fully remove the inefficient factory lube and friction-producing contaminants introduced during the manufacturing process. The next steps require the infusion of the chain at optimal temperatures with the optimisation blend. The entire process allows the sliding surfaces of an ultra-fast CeramicSpeed UFO Chain to have distinct lubricating layers working together as a system for the ultimate chain efficiency available.

Be aware that the UFO treatment is not optimised for wet and muddy conditions, which might cause corrosion on the chain.

Rural Delivery

If your shipping address is classified as a "rural delivery" (RD) address you are required to select the rural delivery shipping option at checkout. Please note that if your address is rural delivery and the incorrect shipping option is selected, your order will not ship until the additional fee for rural delivery has been received. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the appropriate delivery option is selected to avoid any delays to an order. If you are unsure whether your address is classified as a rural delivery address, please check with your local postal service or contact us for assistance.

 

SHIPPING BIKES:

We do ship bikes! Every bike that is sold is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is at it's best operational order when it reaches you. If your bike needs to be freighted to you, it will then be boxed with factory-level care and precision to ensure minimal risk and assembly when it arrives.

All bikes that are shipped will be partially disassembled to fit within courier size constraints. We always endeavour to reduce the complexity and amount of re-assembly possible; however, we always recommend you have the bike reassembled or inspected by a qualified bicycle mechanic before riding.

 

DELIVERY FAQ'S

How long does delivery typically take?
Delivery times are generally 3-5 working days on average; however, please allow an extra 1-2 working days for Rural delivery. Note that this is not a guarantee, but an observational quote based on typical delivery times. We often see faster delivery, and rarely see longer wait times unless:

  • You have ordered a bike. Every bike that we sell and ship in a box is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is it's best operational order when it reaches you. Please allow for an additional 2-3 working days while this takes place. In the case of an e-Bike, please allow for a further working day as we organise Dangerous Goods shippment.
  • Your order is a custom order (not-in-stock or standard stocked items) that has to be specifically ordered from suppliers - we will do our best to communicate any potential delays.
  • If your order requires customisation or additional labour (eg. customising handle bars, changing of parts on a bike, etc.)
  • During peak seasons or public holidays, delivery times can be extended due to courier demand and delay.
  • Please note that there may be delays in receiving your online order from 24th December until the 11th of January, due to limited courier runs.

 

What if there is a delay extending beyond the quoted time?

Please be aware that our control is limited once it has been handed to the courier. Once you get a tracking number, the job is booked with the courier and it is in their hands, not ours, so please be aware of the following:

  • Couriers have their own specified policy regarding time frames, delays, damage and logging inquiries for lost goods.
  • If goods are damaged in transit, the issue needs to be logged directly with the courier company.

Based on this, we always recommend calling the courier company first as sometimes it can be as simple as a lost courier card and the package being at your local depot. All these details will be in the tracking information emailed to you when your order was dispatched.  By directly contacting the people handling your order, it reduces the chain of communication so all your questions can find answers in a faster and more accurate fashion.
