Cannondale Habit: Precision Trail Geometry and Proportional Response Suspension
Dialed Trail Geometry for the Ultimate Mountain Bike Experience
The Cannondale Habit redefines trail riding with its expertly crafted geometry, offering an ideal balance of performance and control. With a 65.5-degree head angle and a 77.5-degree seat angle, the new Habit features a slacker, longer, and lower design, providing an optimal riding position for aggressive trail and mountain bike enthusiasts. The increased reach and shorter seat tube accommodate longer dropper posts and lower standover heights, enhancing rider confidence and comfort.
For those who crave a bit more adventure, the Cannondale Habit LT takes trail performance up a notch. Featuring a 64.7-degree head angle and a 77-degree seat angle, it is slightly slacker due to its longer fork, making it perfect for more rugged trails and challenging terrain. Note that both the Habit and Habit LT share the same rear shock eye-to-eye measurement, but with different stroke shocks for tailored performance.
Proportional Response Suspension and Geometry
The Cannondale Habit benefits from our Proportional Response Suspension and Proportional Response Geometry, a design philosophy aimed at optimizing ride feel for every rider. Our size-specific approach ensures that every Cannondale Habit rider experiences balanced braking, pedaling, and bump absorption tailored to their size. Each size of the Habit features a unique suspension kinematic, with adjustments made to the chainstay length, reach, stack, and front center dimensions to maintain optimal traction and control.
The new Cannondale Habit Carbon models are treated to a full Proportional Response setup, offering custom geometry and suspension for each size. The Cannondale Habit Alloy models feature a split kinematic design, with XS using 27.5 wheels and unique kinematics, while Small and Medium share one kinematic, and Large and XL have another.
Built for Trail Fun
The Cannondale Habit is designed for enjoyable, all-around trail riding. With 130/140mm travel, inline shocks, Pike or Recon forks, light trail wheels, and 180mm rotors, it’s quick, light, and responsive, making it perfect for fast and flowy trails.
For a more rugged ride, the Cannondale Habit LT offers 140/150mm travel, piggyback shocks, Lyrik forks, robust wheels, and 200mm rotors. It’s built for stability and control on more challenging trails, providing a poised and planted ride that still packs plenty of pop.
Easy Maintenance and Practical Features
Both the Cannondale Habit and Habit LT are designed for easy maintenance with straightforward components, including an industry-standard headset, threaded bottom bracket, shock mount, and UDH derailleur hanger. Internal cable routing is simple and effective, with the Carbon models featuring full tube-in-tube routing. Additionally, the Carbon models come with a bolt-on StrapRack tool and stuff carrier, adding convenience for every ride.
Discover the perfect Cannondale mountain bike for your trail adventures with the new Habit and Habit LT, engineered for every rider and every trail.

Rural Delivery
If your shipping address is classified as a "rural delivery" (RD) address you are required to select the rural delivery shipping option at checkout. Please note that if your address is rural delivery and the incorrect shipping option is selected, your order will not ship until the additional fee for rural delivery has been received. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the appropriate delivery option is selected to avoid any delays to an order. If you are unsure whether your address is classified as a rural delivery address, please check with your local postal service or contact us for assistance.
SHIPPING BIKES:
We do ship bikes! Every bike that is sold is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is at it's best operational order when it reaches you. If your bike needs to be freighted to you, it will then be boxed with factory-level care and precision to ensure minimal risk and assembly when it arrives.
All bikes that are shipped will be partially disassembled to fit within courier size constraints. We always endeavour to reduce the complexity and amount of re-assembly possible; however, we always recommend you have the bike reassembled or inspected by a qualified bicycle mechanic before riding.
DELIVERY FAQ'S
How long does delivery typically take?
Delivery times are generally 3-5 working days on average; however, please allow an extra 1-2 working days for Rural delivery. Note that this is not a guarantee, but an observational quote based on typical delivery times. We often see faster delivery, and rarely see longer wait times unless:
- You have ordered a bike. Every bike that we sell and ship in a box is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is it's best operational order when it reaches you. Please allow for an additional 2-3 working days while this takes place. In the case of an e-Bike, please allow for a further working day as we organise Dangerous Goods shippment.
- Your order is a custom order (not-in-stock or standard stocked items) that has to be specifically ordered from suppliers - we will do our best to communicate any potential delays.
- If your order requires customisation or additional labour (eg. customising handle bars, changing of parts on a bike, etc.)
- During peak seasons or public holidays, delivery times can be extended due to courier demand and delay.
- Please note that there may be delays in receiving your online order from 24th December until the 11th of January, due to limited courier runs.
What if there is a delay extending beyond the quoted time?
Please be aware that our control is limited once it has been handed to the courier. Once you get a tracking number, the job is booked with the courier and it is in their hands, not ours, so please be aware of the following:
- Couriers have their own specified policy regarding time frames, delays, damage and logging inquiries for lost goods.
- If goods are damaged in transit, the issue needs to be logged directly with the courier company.
Based on this, we always recommend calling the courier company first as sometimes it can be as simple as a lost courier card and the package being at your local depot. All these details will be in the tracking information emailed to you when your order was dispatched. By directly contacting the people handling your order, it reduces the chain of communication so all your questions can find answers in a faster and more accurate fashion.
If you are still having trouble or have any additional questions, feel free to contact us and we will do what we can to help.
Can you ship to my PO Box?
Unfortunately we are unable to deliver to PO Boxes. Please provide us with a physical address.
