The Black Inc Road Stem is a lightweight and fully carbon fiber road stem, designed for the serious rider who wants only the best.
When looking to build a bike with a traditional stem / handlebar combination without sacrificing aerodynamic performance for the convenience and choice a road stem will provide, the lightweight, full carbon Black Inc Road Stem offers a refined design with exceptional structural strength without sacrificing weight savings.
Since we have the benefit of producing all our carbon parts in-house, we have been able to develop and design our Road Stem by using all the expertise we have gained over the years. Combining the best blend of carbon fiber with the skill to use the longest possible continuous fibers helps us to create a stem that can withstand intense torsional forces.
The use of lightweight carbon along with titanium metal hardware helps keep the weight low at just 109 grams in a size 110mm. The aerodynamics have been optimized with the use of the reverse-bolt aluminum faceplate. The design for the bolt threads has them at an angle which helps to distribute the clamping forces while facilitating ease of assembly when securing the handlebars. The sculpted faceplate makes for an aerodynamic front profile when racing into the wind. Similarly, the steerer clamp has been intentionally smoothed to protect the rider’s knees when pedaling out of the saddle.
With a clamp diameter of 31.8mm, the Black Inc Road Stem will fit the majority of standard sized road and gravel bike handlebars. The stem can accommodate internal cable routing for both electric and disc brake systems when using a compatible handlebar like the Black Inc Road Handlebar. It is of course also compatible with all external routing systems.
The elegant matte black finish complements any frame and handlebar setup, making the Black Inc Road Stem a high quality and beautiful upgrade for any road or gravel cockpit.
