  • Less fatigue, more riding fun and performance

Maximum gravel fun with no discomfort: Ergon has developed its handlebar tape BT Gravel specifically for this purpose. With its 3.5 mm thickness and aggressive, block patterned surface texture, shock and vibrations are absorbed, delivering the perfect grip and bike control on the most technically demanding terrain. This special bar tape for all gravel riders reduces pressure on the hands, feels good to the touch and provides a secure grip. The BT Gravel can can be wrapped to individual preferences – thinner/thicker or increased/decreased grip texture  – as wrap positioning guide marks are incorporated into the bar tape surface pattern.

Reduces discomfort when graveling

A low, stretched riding position with a highly angled saddle, relatively hard contact points with localized pressure on the sensitive nerves of the hand and wrist often leads to pain when riding gravel. Ergon handlebar tapes reduce hand discomfort and nerve irritation. The variable thickness and special material structure with AirCell Foam damps vibrations and effectively distributes pressure on the hands.

Comfortable on any surface

With this 3.5 mm thick bar tape gravel riders benefit from the best vibration damping, extra grip and outstanding bar feel, yet the extra comfort is clearly noticeable. Increased control on the handlebars reduces hand and arm fatigue so you’re less tired on longer, technically demanding terrain. This handlebar tape simply feels good, increases fun and performance on any riding surface.

Under control at all times

The BT Gravel is not only the perfect connection between the hand and bike to the riding surface, the aggressive, block patterned surface texture of the handlebar tape is also extra slip-resistant, so the bike remains in control at all times and in all riding situations.

3 LAYERS FOR THE PERFECT GRIP – Non-slip, lightweight, less hand pressure

Ergon handlebar tapes is made of three precisely developed material layers. The water-repellent non-slip surface (Anti-Slip Comfort Top), the lightweight foam (AirCell Foam) and the adhesive tape on the underside all resulting in a secure grip, lasting surface durability and excellent pressure distribution with light overall weight.

INDIVIDUAL FINDE ADJUSTMENT – Integrated wrapping position marks makes it easy

With the incorporated wrapping position marks, the BT Gravel handlebar tape can be easily fine-tuned to your personal preference – wrap it a little thinner or a little thicker.

2 DIRECTIONS – More grip or more freedom of movement?

Dual directional surface. The wrapping direction determines your individual preference – for more grip or more freedom of movement.

EXTRA-PLUS FOR MORE COMFORT – Upgrade with the BT OrthoCell® Pad Set

For those that want even more comfort on gravel handlebars, Ergon has developed the 4-piece BT OrthoCell® Pad Set. The pads, made of orthopedic high-performance foam, are positioned under the handlebar tape to significantly increase comfort. The OrthoCell® high-end material, entirely developed in Germany, comforts hands and wrists in any grip position.

EXTRA LENGTH FOR GRAVEL HANDLEBARS WITH FLARE – 2.30 meters for wider bars and angled drops

The BT Gravel is 2.30 meters – longer than our other handlebar tapes. This means that wider handlebars with flared drops can be wrapped without problems.

Rural Delivery

If your shipping address is classified as a "rural delivery" (RD) address you are required to select the rural delivery shipping option at checkout. Please note that if your address is rural delivery and the incorrect shipping option is selected, your order will not ship until the additional fee for rural delivery has been received. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the appropriate delivery option is selected to avoid any delays to an order. If you are unsure whether your address is classified as a rural delivery address, please check with your local postal service or contact us for assistance.

SHIPPING BIKES:

We do ship bikes! Every bike that is sold is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is at it's best operational order when it reaches you. If your bike needs to be freighted to you, it will then be boxed with factory-level care and precision to ensure minimal risk and assembly when it arrives.

All bikes that are shipped will be partially disassembled to fit within courier size constraints. We always endeavour to reduce the complexity and amount of re-assembly possible; however, we always recommend you have the bike reassembled or inspected by a qualified bicycle mechanic before riding.

DELIVERY FAQ'S

How long does delivery typically take?
Delivery times are generally 3-5 working days on average; however, please allow an extra 1-2 working days for Rural delivery. Note that this is not a guarantee, but an observational quote based on typical delivery times. We often see faster delivery, and rarely see longer wait times unless:

  • You have ordered a bike. Every bike that we sell and ship in a box is first assembled, tuned, and tested to ensure it is it's best operational order when it reaches you. Please allow for an additional 2-3 working days while this takes place. In the case of an e-Bike, please allow for a further working day as we organise Dangerous Goods shippment.
  • Your order is a custom order (not-in-stock or standard stocked items) that has to be specifically ordered from suppliers - we will do our best to communicate any potential delays.
  • If your order requires customisation or additional labour (eg. customising handle bars, changing of parts on a bike, etc.)
  • During peak seasons or public holidays, delivery times can be extended due to courier demand and delay.
  • Please note that there may be delays in receiving your online order from 24th December until the 11th of January, due to limited courier runs.

What if there is a delay extending beyond the quoted time?

Please be aware that our control is limited once it has been handed to the courier. Once you get a tracking number, the job is booked with the courier and it is in their hands, not ours, so please be aware of the following:

  • Couriers have their own specified policy regarding time frames, delays, damage and logging inquiries for lost goods.
  • If goods are damaged in transit, the issue needs to be logged directly with the courier company.

Based on this, we always recommend calling the courier company first as sometimes it can be as simple as a lost courier card and the package being at your local depot. All these details will be in the tracking information emailed to you when your order was dispatched.  By directly contacting the people handling your order, it reduces the chain of communication so all your questions can find answers in a faster and more accurate fashion.

If you are still having trouble or have any additional questions, feel free to contact us and we will do what we can to help.
